Privacy Policy

1. Information we collect

We collect the information needed to operate municipal services: your name, email address, account role, service requests, descriptions, optional photos, location information that you explicitly provide, request status updates, and security or audit records. We also collect basic technical information such as sign-in time and browser or device information needed to protect the service.

2. How we use information

Aramoun Connect uses this information to create and secure accounts, route reports to the appropriate municipal team, show you the progress of your own requests, send verification, password-reset, and security messages, prevent abuse, maintain audit trails, and improve municipal response. We do not sell personal information and do not use it for advertising.

3. Google and Gmail data

The municipality uses Google Gmail API access only to send transactional messages from the authorized Aramoun Connect sender account, such as email verification, password recovery, and owner security codes. Aramoun Connect does not read Gmail inboxes, search mail, create drafts, or use Google data for advertising or artificial-intelligence training. OAuth credentials and refresh tokens are kept in protected server-side secrets and are never exposed in the browser.

4. Sharing and visibility

Residents can see only their own submitted requests and public municipal information. Authorized municipal staff, council members, IT administrators, and the platform owner can see information required for their assigned duties. We may use infrastructure providers such as Supabase and Cloudflare to host and process the service under contractual and technical safeguards. We do not disclose information to unrelated third parties except when required by law or needed to protect the service.

5. Storage and retention

Account, request, photo, notification, and audit data are stored for municipal operations, accountability, and legal or safety requirements. Access is limited by account permissions. When information is no longer required, the municipality may delete or anonymize it according to its records policy. A permanent account or request deletion performed by an authorized owner removes the associated application records and stored attachments, subject to legally required records.

6. Security

We use encrypted HTTPS connections, protected authentication sessions, email verification, owner approval, role-based permissions, audit logging, and optional multi-factor authentication for the platform owner. No online service can guarantee absolute security, so please protect your password and never share a security code.

7. Your choices and rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your account information through the municipality administrator. You may opt out of optional browser notifications in your device settings. You may revoke the Gmail sender authorization from the Google Account security page; doing so will stop transactional email delivery until the municipality authorizes a replacement sender.

8. Children

Aramoun Connect is a municipal service for residents and authorized municipal personnel. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children without appropriate municipal or guardian involvement.
